Preparations for Halloween and the 2 Month Visit to the Doctor

We tried some Halloween costumes on Tom. Shelly gave us a great bear suit, but he's not quite big enough for it yet. We decided on the koala bear suit for Halloween, but got the Santa suit as well because he looked so happy in it. The other is supposed to be a penguin.

Tom went to the doctor today for every child's favorite activity - shots. But before the shots, he was weighed and measured. Here are the stats at ten weeks: 11.0 lbs and 22 inches - both about the 25% for age. Not bad considering he was about the 5% for weight when he was born. His shots included: DTaP, Hib, IPV, Hep B, PCV7 and the new RotaTeq (for rotavirus). Three shots in the thighs and one in the arm. OUCH! He did as well as can be expected, but gave mom a very shocked and appalled look when that first needle hit. Luckily, he forgets quickly. The doctor also prescribed him ranitidine for reflux - we'll see if that helps. The doctor took time to answer some questions and said Tom is looking great.

Nice work -- ah yes, the shots. Kathleen made me hold our kiddos for their first shots. So sad!

Pictures two and three (penguin and Santa Claus) look just like his dad. I like the Santa outfit. CLRD is likely going to be a pumpkin for Halloween -- we'll have to get some pictures.

Cute kiddo!

Uh Dave, when little Tom pulls a sad face like that, he looks just like you. Seriously. What a cute boy...
