Happy Halloween!
This year was a lot more fun for Tommy - I still don't think he quite gets Halloween but he really liked his dinosaur costume. He would walk around and flap his hands a lot inside the costume.
We started out Halloween Saturday night with our church's Trunk or Treat. Tommy was much admired as he walked around the parking lot. He was a little scared of an adult who was dressed up as a storm trooper, though Dave thought it was one of the coolest costumes he had ever seen.
On Monday we went to Stanford Hospital's Halloween party. They had a magician which Tommy liked. We went with a couple of Tommy's friends from our apartment complex (the whole complex is medical people so we have had fun getting to know everyone.) We had a great time but were sad Dave missed this party as he was out of town.
On Halloween night the tradition around here is to trick or treat at the Stanford mall which is just a couple blocks from where we live. The shops all give out candy in the evening. I was amazed at the number of kids there - unfortunately I forgot to bring the camera to that event. Tommy was excited to trick or treat twice, but as soon as he had a piece of candy in each hand he was very unwilling to let go of them to get more so we just wandered around and didn't trick or treat for the rest of the evening. By the time we got home, each piece of candy was pure mush from being in his hot little hands all evening. He wouldn't even let go of the snickers bar for a bath, so the candy bar got washed, too. (Thank goodness for the plastic wrapper!)
We had a great time!

That was so funny - very reminiscent of our first trick-or-treating episodes. Do they not understand that there is MORE? I LOVE that Tommy had a bath with his snickers bar!
